National Museum of Anthropology Dr. David J. Guzmán
Founded in 1883, the museum offers 5 rooms with exhibits about Human Settlements, Agriculture, Artisans, Commerce and Trade, Religion, Arts and Communication; plus a room for temporary expositions. Specialized Library, Auditorium, Guided visits and Parking Lot.

Museum of Art of El Salvador, MARTE
Three rooms dedicated to temporary local and international exhibits, one major one dedicated permanently to the history of Salvadorian painting and one last room used for video projections. Specialized store, coffee shop, parking lot and Cab stop.

Sculpture Museum Enrique Salaverría
Open since 1999, it offers more than 80 pieces of work in different materials from the sculptor Enrique Salaverría, born in Juayúa. Among his work, the piece named "Movement and Women" is 3 and a half meters tall and sculptured in cedar.

City Museum
Currently not open to the public. The new Museum is being remodeled in one of the many historic buildings in Santa Tecla, a much bigger place. The history of the city is told through its collection of photography, maps, and documents of characters. Specialized collection, parking lot.

Museum of the Armed Forces History
It permanently exhibits historical objects of military governors, military transportation and the painting by Luis Vergara Ahumada: "El Grito de Independencia" (The shout of Independence). A 30 mt long and 15 mt wide, scale topographic map has recently been built. Specialized collection, parking lot.

Regional Western Museum
Located inside the former building of the Central Bank of Reserve, the museum opens its collection of archeological pieces from the region, contemporary history of the departments of the western part of the country, as well as an impressive numismatic collection. The museum also has some rooms for temporary exhibitions. Library, guided visits, and gift shop.

Regional Eastern Museum
Currently located inside the house of culture in San Miguel, due to the damaged caused to its own property. The museum offers itinerant expositions throughout the eastern region.

Museum of Revolution
Inaugurated in 1992, tells the story of contemporary Salvadorian history. Its permanent exhibition shows weapons, guns, images and war testimonies, as well as a recreation of the guerilla radio station. Guided visits.

Museum at Joya de Cerén
Located inside the archaeological site "Joya de Cerén" - declared world heritage by UNESCO- shows what left of a Mayan village from the classical era. Its area of exhibits shows numerous pieces found in the village. Guided visits, interpretative footpaths, camping areas, cafeteria, handcrafts, and parking lot.
