Water Parks in El Salvador
Agua Fria
Main Attractions: family pool and water slide, one additional pool for adults and one for children. Restaurant, picnic area, dressing rooms and toilets, parking for 45 vehicles, soccer field, park ranger and police station.
The park opened to public in 1977, and it is 42 acres big. Located in the department of Chalatenango, at 77 Km. From San Salvador, and 450 m.a.s.l..
There is a forest area with many native tree species such as morrales and chaparrales, bordered by two cold water rivers.
Altos de la Cueva
Located in San Miguel, at 152 Km. East of San Salvador. Its 44 acres are located at 103 m.a.s.l. There are three pools filled by natural springs, a slide, 12 cabins, toilets, kids playground, picnic area, parking lot, restaurants and diners, gardens.
Amapulapa
Its name in Nahuatl means: "River of the sunken Amates".
The natural richness of this park comes from its volcanic origin soil. There are many water springs and most of the trees in the area are Amates.
There are two pools for adults, water slide, 3 pools for kids, park ranger, lifeguard, 36 cabins, toilets, BKB court, soccer field, parking lot for more than 100 vehicles, and police station.
Located in the department of San Vicente, at 60 Km. East of San Salvador, opened its doors to the public in 1956.
Apastepeque
Apastepeque means "place of the big pots" in Nahuatl.
There is a floating pier, pools, green lagoon, restaurants serve typical food, toilets, dressing rooms, Pic-Nic areas, park rangers, boat rides.
Located on the banks of the Apastepeque Lagoon, in the department of San Vicente.
If traveling by bus: take bus No 166 or 301 going to San Miguel from the east terminal in San Salvador. Get off at Santa Clara, and a Pick-up will take you to your destination.

Apulo
Apulo means "place that sinks in water" in Nahuatl.
The park is located at Lake Ilopango (of volcanic origin) and has 34 cabins, picnic area, soccer field, BKB court, dressing rooms, restaurants and diners, a plant nursery, pools, parking lot, and lifeguard (during vacation periods).
Located in Canton Dolores Apulo, in Ilopango; department of San Salvador. At less than forty five minutes from the capital.
Ichanmichen
Or "cave of small fish" in Nahuatl; is a cultural vestige, because of the many legends born and represented here, such as: el Cipitio and La Ciguanaba. There are five pools (three for adults, two for children) three fish tanks, restaurants serving delicious meals, 33 cabins, dressing rooms and toilets, soccer field, picnic area, parking lot for 300 vehicles, park rangers, and police station.
The park was inaugurated in 1956, located in the departament of la Paz, at 57 Km. From San Salvador, at 220 m.a.s.l.
La toma de Quezaltepeque
Which in Nahuatl means: "Mountain of Quetzales and beautiful city".
Due to its volcanic soil the vegetation at the park is enormous and i home to many insectivorous plants.
There are three pools (two for adults, one for children) and slides, an artificial lagoon where you can enjoy of a pedal boat ride, 48 cabins, four restaurants, picnic area, soccer fields, BKB court, parking for 250 vehicles, and police station.
Located at 25 kms. North of San Salvador, at 425 m.a.s.l.
If getting there by bus take route 109, from the east terminal in San Salvador.
Sihuatehuacán
Sihuatehuacan means "city of women witch crafters" in Nahuatl.
This park has pools for adults and children with slides, skating area, open theater for 2000 people, cabins, picnic areas, toilets and dressing rooms, kids playground, lifeguards and park rangers.
Located in the city of Santa Ana at 65 kms. West of San Salvador; at 665 m.a.s.l.
If getting there by bus: take route 201 to Santa Ana at the west terminal in San Salvador and once in Santa Ana switch to bus 51 to the park.
Costa del Sol
The name comes from the beach area where the park is located - Costa del Sol. The park is located close to the estuary from where boat rides can be arranged. There are pools, 132 cabins, restaurants where delicous seafood meals are prepared, toilets, parking lot for 200 vehicles, lifeguard, parkranger, BKB court, soccer field. Located in the departament of la Paz, at 65 Km. South east of San Salvador. The park opened to the public in 1975/1976.
If getting there by bus: take route 495 at the south terminal in San Salvador.
